Cheap Hotels in Europe – The Current Trend
In the wake of the recent global recessions, the values of most of the hotels in Europe have come down on
average.
Especially there has been a visible down ward
trend
during the last couple of years. Two factors have contributed to such downward trends.
One is the economic downturns in major industrial countries. Wealthy countries like the United States, Japan,
and Germany have seen considerable down trends in their economy and this on turn has put an impact on the hotel
industries not only in these countries but all over the world.
With the decline in the financial status that many people, mostly business
oriented ones,
experienced in this era of recession there has been a veritable reduction in the flow of traffic to most of the
hotels in Europe.
The global affects of the economic downturns in the countries that generate the maximum demand is one of the
causes for the downslide not only in the hotel industries but also in many other industries as well.
And the two incidents, one in September, 2001 in United States and later in
November-December, 2008 in India encompassing World Trade Center and one of the luxurious international hotels
have further plummeted the business.
With the reduction in the overall value of hotels in Europe coming to about 3%, this could be considered a
reverse trend in comparison to the years 1998-2000 where there were growth @ 7.3% to 7.8% overall in the hotel
industries.
All said and done there has been a decline in the par value of hotel rooms around Europe. The reason is as much
the economic recession as is the decline of the traffic flow to many hotels. People are now less prone moving place
to place even for enjoying their holidays.
Cheap hotels are available in almost all the countries in Europe and in almost all locations. People search for
cheap hotels for various reasons. Apart from the fact that they may be on budget requiring the cheap accommodation
or they may be looking for such accommodation for short stay purposes.
The cheap hotels however do not mean some shabby accommodation with a cot and a couple of broken chairs and a
table and perhaps a fan moving overhead. It means something that should be befitting for your accommodation and
stay despite being inexpensive.
There are several hotels in and around Europe that could provide you with decent accommodation and services
despite being inexpensive in comparison to many others.
And the best part of it is that many such hotels are also located at prime places where you would really love to
stay overlooking the foaming sea or lush green fields with a river or majestically rising mountain ranges.
And when these are made available at cheap rates what better option could there be for you.
